Welcome to the application page for KO@Home!  KO@Home is our virtual music learning program that helps families like yours keep music alive @ home and in our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, KO@Home will provide an opportunity for students to take private lessons on one of nine different instruments. Lessons are generally taught virtually but are available in person upon request and pending teacher and facility availability.

The instruments available for study include Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, and Percussion (you can click on any of these class names to be directed to an introductory video).

Each KO@Home course differs in cost and availability across grade levels. Please click here to view our program eligibility guide. You can also view our Virtual Program Open House to learn more about KO@Home.

Lessons are available either weekly (24 total lessons) or bi-weekly (12 total lessons), and in 30 or 60-minute lengths. The cost for each option is detailed below.  Currently, we do not have scholarships available for private lessons.

After you sign up, we will reach out to discuss picking up an instrument and scheduling your child’s lessons with his or her teacher.

If you have any questions about the KO@Home program, please reach out to Brian Gallion at 225.922.4656 x 111 or email him at bgallion@kidsorchestra.org.
