We are excited to invite you to participate in a new KO community project - the Kids' Orchestra Song Project!!!
Who:
Any member of Kids' Orchestra (students, parents/guardians, family members, teachers, staff, alumni)
What:
The Kids' Orchestra Song Project will create a shareable song collection to spotlight the music of KO families!
Where:
You can do this from the comfort of your home or meet KO staff at a designated location.
Why:
We want to celebrate the diverse cultures and music-making of all KO stakeholders. We believe this project supports both the KO mission and vision (see on the back) by building stronger musical connections amongst our extended KO family.
How:
Think of a song that is important to you and your family and represents your culture. To participate in this project, you will share the following about the song.

- The title
- The history - including the country and/or culture of origin
- Why it is important to you and your family
- KO staff and teachers will connect with you to produce a transcription of your song (music notation of the melody and/or rhythm, harmony, etc.)
- Your child's school/program location
- Your family name if you'd like to be identified
