LOCATION: Knock Knock Children’s Museum (1900 Dalrymple Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70808)

ABOUT: Join us for a family-friendly musical morning at Knock Knock Children’s Museum! Kids’ Orchestra students will perform a selection of songs. This concert is FREE and open to the public. Explore Knock Knock after the concert by purchasing tickets at the museum’s entrance.

Saturday, April 4 – Sunday, April 5: Ebb and Flow Festival

TIME: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM

LOCATION: Downtown Baton Rouge Riverfront from the Louisiana Art & Science Museum to the Belle of Baton Rouge

ABOUT: Come visit us at Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge’s Ebb and Flow Festival! We will have a table with a variety of interactive musical family-friendly activities. Ebb and Flow Festival is FREE and open to the public. Learn more about the Festival: www.ebbandflowbr.org.

Saturday, May 9, 2020: Storytime in the Garden

TIME: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

LOCATION: LSU Botanic Gardens at Burden Rural Life Museum (4560 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70809)

ABOUT: Join us for a special music-themed Storytime in the Garden, in partnership with the Junior League of Baton Rouge and the LSU AgCenter! Kids’ Orchestra students will perform a selection of songs and activities will include a musical storybook reading and a craft station. This event is FREE and open to the public. May 6 – 14, 2020: Spring Neighborhood Concert Series

The Neighborhood Concert Series is our signature concert program that celebrates our students’ progress and achievements and allows them to showcase the musical skills they have developed in our afterschool program. Students from our 6 program sites will perform 1-3 simple musical pieces in their respective music groups: Foundations (Kindergarten to 1st grade), violin, viola, cello & double bass, clarinet, percussion, trumpet, trombone, and flute.

Our 2020 Spring Neighborhood Concert Series performances begin at 5:30 pm and are FREE and open to the public:

  • Thursday, May 7: Westdale Heights Academic Magnet
  • Monday, May 11: LaSalle Elementary School
  • Tuesday, May 12: Zachary Elementary School
  • Wednesday, May 13: Baton Rouge Foreign Language Academic Immersion Magnet
  • Thursday, May 14: The Dufrocq School

Sunday, May 17, 2020: Honors Program Spotlight Performance

TIME: 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

LOCATION: McKinley Middle Magnet School (1550 Eddie Robinson Sr Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70802)

ABOUT: Join us for our annual Honors Program Spotlight Performance! Students in our Honors Program will perform several songs in their wind, string, and symphony ensembles. This event is FREE and open to the public.
