Día De Los Muertos
3-6pm | 647 Main Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70801
Come celebrate the vibrant traditions of Día De Los Muertos with us! Our second annual celebration of Hispanic community, culture, and connection offers a space to come together in honoring life and remembrance. Enjoy a day filled with rich cultural experiences including authentic Mexican food trucks, live music by KO students and staff, and artisanal vendors.
Books & Music
In November, KO instructors will offer interactive musical activities inspired by the award-winning book We Are Water Protectors by Carole Lindstrom. Come explore the importance of water in our world by combining story, rhythm, melody, and dance. Children will learn about the water cycle, sing the “Canoe Song”, improvise with vocals and drums, and master the four movements used in Global Water Dances.
