AfterSchool Programs
Our afterschool programming takes place at public and charter schools throughout South Louisiana and consists of 50-minute group music lessons on one of several instruments: flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, percussion, violin, viola, cello, or bass. Along with the music lesson, each student receives an SEL lesson, several performance opportunities, a KO t-shirt, and an instrument on loan for the year.

“She loves playing her trombone even when often times she is the only girl playing it. Her confidence has grown tremendously. She is now in 7th grade and also plays for her school band. They have won numerous awards, and she was even granted an opportunity to attend Festival Disney in Orlando. This trip is usually reserved for 8th grades but since she is an exceptional band student and advanced, due to her private lessons, she was invited to attend this year. She has learned so much through her private lessons with Kids’ Orchestra. The teachers and staff are so warm, inviting, and patient with her. They also provide her with numerous opportunities to perform and challenge her to grow in her skills. We love Kids’ Orchestra!”
