Make a joyful noise! In February, Books & Music will highlight Louisiana native Trombone Shorty's second book, The 5 O'Clock Band. When Trombone Shorty is late to meet his fellow musicians, he finds strength in his community: enjoying Lola's red beans and rice, receiving advice from a Mardi Gras Indian chief, and playing "O When the Saints" with Tuba Tremé. In addition to enjoying the book, children and families are invited to sing, dance, play instruments, and meet a professional Kids' Orchestra musician.

FEBRUARY 18: BRCC BASKETBALL GAME (5:30 PM)

Come watch Kids' Orchestra perform at the BRCC Women's Basketball Game.

FEBRUARY 27: DATE NIGHT DATECARE (6-9 PM)

Families, it's time for a well deserved night out this school year and Kids' Orchestra has you covered! We will be hosting a Date Night Date Care event at our office (647 Main Street) from 6-9pm where you can leave your little ones in safe hands without the large price of a babysitter. We will be providing dinner, music inspired arts & crafts, and a movie with popcorn!

MARCH 22: TASTE OF MID CITY (1-5PM)

Join us on March 22nd for Taste of Mid City! Taste of Mid City is an annual festival hosted by Franklin Associates at The Executive Center that highlights the eateries of Mid City Baton Rouge. Along with delicious food, this family-friendly event features live performances from Kids' Orchestra and Baton Rouge Music Studios, face painting, and drum circles. All proceeds will benefit Kids' Orchestra.

*MARCH 23: UNITED STATES AIR FORCE BAND & SINGING SERGEANTS (7 PM)

The United States Air Force Concert Band & Singing Sergeants will be in Louisiana in the Baton Rouge Area during their Spring Tour, March 23rd at the LSU Union Theater! Don't miss this rare and exciting opportunity to hear great patriotic music, the music of Wicked, and as always, a salute to celebrate our veterans!

APRIL 24: LIVE AFTER FIVE (5 PM)

Kids' Orchestra takes the stage once again with Baton Rouge Music Studios! Join us at the North Boulevard Town Square for an evening of amazing music by the KO Harmony Collective.
