Kids’ Orchestra is searching for volunteers interested in assisting in the following capacities:

General Program Days & Times

Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. at our Traditional Sites.

Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at our 21st CCLC Sites.

About Kids’ Orchestra Program

Two to four times a week throughout the school year, nearly 800 East Baton Rouge Parish elementary students receive afterschool group music lessons instructed by professional teaching artists. Kids’ Orchestra offers violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, percussion, and a music foundations class for K-1 students. Instrument offerings vary at each location.
Kids’ Orchestra is open to all K-5th grade students in Baton Rouge and the surrounding area.

About Other Kids’ Orchestra Programs

About Honors Program

Auditions for 2nd-5th grade students entering their second year on an instrument. Additional rehearsals and performances held on Sunday afternoons at McKinley Middle Magnet. Opportunity is available at no extra cost.

About Kids’ Choir

Rehearsals held Monday evenings from 5:45 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. See KidsOrchestra.org/choir for details.
